Experience
Joseph J. Kim is an Attorney with Straley Robin Vericker and joined the firm in 2026. Joseph serves as lead counsel to numerous community development districts represented by the firm, and brings a strong background in real property law and civil litigation. His real estate experience includes property disputes, breach of contract, title, foreclosure, and estate planning. As an experienced litigator, he also managed high-volume insurance defense dockets in state and federal courts, representing national carriers, corporate clients, and the statutorily created Florida Insurance Guaranty Association.
Background
Joseph is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. During law school, he was an active member of the student community, serving as a Deputy Chief for the Stetson Ambassadors and the Executive Chair of the Student Leadership Development Program. He was awarded the Marc L. Levine Graduate Award for his growth as a professional and campus leader, and the Outstanding Advocate Dispute Resolution Graduate Award. Joseph also served as a competitor and student coach for Stetson’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team. Outside of practicing law, Joseph enjoys exploring national parks, tinkering with tech, and spending time with his friends and family.
